Our Team

Sean Pincus
Sean has been a Podiatrist since 1991. He had run a private practice in Johannesburg before semigrating to Cape Town in 2010 where he started a new practice in Greenpoint.
In 2019 he took over a second practice in Century City, and a third in Sports Science institute in 2022.
Accumulating practices meant there is a need to do the same differently. So, he formed a partnership with two of his colleagues (who had interned with him,) and Karina and Anelia joined the group. They then imported Calvin from Johannesburg (all they did was promise him a good lifestyle and some wine occasionally)
We all share a common ethos of practicing Podiatry to the best of our ability in a holistic patient-centered practice (run at three sites). We have great relationships with professionals from all different disciplines that compliment Podiatry.
Our in-house digital orthotic laboratory compliments the focus of the practice supplying CADCAM designed orthoses as quickly as possible.
Outside of Podiatry, Sean has dabbled in sport his whole life, from hockey cricket, martial arts triathlon and cycling. He says, "I will never see a podium, but I know how to help you get there!"

Karina Gajjar
Karina qualified as a podiatrist in 2018 from the University of Johannesburg. During her studies, she received a few academic awards namely, the physiology prize in second year, Ujenius award in third year and the top achievers award in her fourth year.
Upon completion of her studies, she relocated to Cape Town. In Cape Town she was mentored by podiatrists Sean Pincus and Brandon Maggen. She later successfully opened and continues to run her own practice in Panorama.
Karina is friendly, calm, patient and enjoys her work. She treats and manages all Podiatry conditions from paediatrics to geriatrics. She enjoys a challenge, learning new things and keeping up to date with the profession.
Outside of work, she enjoys going to crossfit gym, exploring new places and spending time with her friends and family.

Anelia Marais
A born and bred Capetonian, she moved back to Cape Town immediately and started an internship with Sean Pincus. This learning opportunity was instrumental in starting her career as a Podiatrist and she still applies the fundamentals that she learnt in her daily practice.
Anelia believes all patients deserve the highest level of care and should expect commitment and compassion from their podiatrist. Her philosophy involves giving each patient individualized, personal treatment. She believes the podiatrist and patient work together as a team to determine which treatment is best, ensuring the best outcome.
She has a special interest in treating geriatric patients and completed additional certification in treating patients with dementia and impaired cognitive function. Anelia believes prevention is better than cure, and a bit of maintenance goes a long way.

Calvin Sinnett
In February 2012, Calvin opened his first private podiatry practice in Johannesburg and within 18 months he successfully opened another two.
To this day, Calvin has built up his practices to treat and manage the full spectrum of the Podiatry Scope of practice and works in multidisciplinary settings to assist his patients as far as possible.
Calvin's passion is working with and managing sports related complications, with an interest in diagnostic ultrasound. With the addition of our own ultrasound machine, making the correct diagnosis is possible and can be followed by the gold standard treatment recommendations possible.
Calvin has also completed an ultrasound guided injection course into the foot and ankles.
At the start of 2022 Calvin relocated to the Western Cape to join Cape Podiatry.

Jade Young
Jade Young obtained her Bachelor's degree in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Johannesburg in 2014. She worked as a locum/intern in a local practice before starting her own practice within a medical centre in Boksburg, East of Johannesburg in 2016.
After being in practice in Boksburg for 8 years the decision was made to join the Cape Podiatry Team. The Cape podiatry team is integrated in all aspects of Podiatry and has the ability to assist and treat all patients in a unique, individualised and specialised way. Something that Jade inspires to do as you don't just "treat the hole the patient, you treat the person as a Whole".
Jade has a special interest in geriatrics, diabetics and wound care management. She believes Education and prevention is definitely better than cure. Maintenance, education and patient understanding helps reach the treatment goal effectively and aims to achieve this throughout all aspects of her work.
Jade is registered with the Health professions council of South Africa (HPCSA), is a member of the Podiatry association of South Africa (PASA) and is accredited with the Centre of Diabetes and Endocrinology (CDE).
